Hiroko Mima -Miss Japan

Hiroko Mima is a fashion model, athlete, beauty queen,and Miss Universe Japan 2008.

Hiroko Mima, a 21 year old physical education student from Tokushima in Western Japan, was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2008 on April 3, beating out 9 other finalists and a total of about 4000 entrants. Staged at the Tokyo International Forum, the final competition featured a "Fashion Island" performance.

She was the official representative for Japan at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant which took place in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14, 2008. She made the first cut by advancing to the top 15 on the finals competing in the swimsuit round, and was ultimately placed in the 14th position being the highest place Asian delegant to make the cut.

Hiroko Mima was trained for the pageant by her national pageant director Ines Ligron, who also took Korea's candidate Sun Lee under her wing. Mima continued Japan's stake in the Miss Universe pageant by placing in the semifinal for a consecutive third time, despite not being favoured by numerous pageant sites as a potential semifinalist.[3][4][5] Hiroko was the first contestant in the history of Miss Universe to wear a purse during the evening gown portion of the presentation show. Nguyễn Thùy Lâm - Miss Vietnam 2008

Nguyễn Thùy Lâm (born September 10, 1987, in Thái Bình, Việt Nam) is a Vietnamese singer, actress and was the winner of the Miss Vietnam Universe 2008 contest on May 31, 2008.[1] Nguyễn Thùy Lâm represented Vietnam in the Miss Universe 2008 competition.

Thuỳ Lâm was announced winner of Miss Vietnam 2008 on May 31, 2008. During the competition she was awarded Miss Talent and Miss Internet by the audience. As the winner she was also awarded $US12,000 and won the right to represent Vietnam at the Miss Universe 2008 competition.

At the competition held in multiple cities in Vietnam, Thuy Lam was a Top 10 finalist in the Best National Costume competition and Top 5 finalist in the Most Charming in Áo Dài (Áo Dài fashion show).

In the final competition, Thuy Lam became the first Vietnamese candidate to survive the first cut in Miss Universe pageant being only one of the two Asians making the first cut along with Hiroko Mima of Japan. She was consequently cut when the Top 10 candidates were announced.

Puja Gupta -Miss India 2007

Puja Gupta is an Indian Model and actress. She was the winner of Miss India Universe in 2007 and later went to Mexico to participate in Miss Universe 2007, finishing in 9th place.

Born in New Delhi, Gupta came to the spotlight after winning the Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe in 2007 organized by Pantaloons, a clothing line and Femina, a women's magazine in India. She encouraged tourism in Germany as an Indian ambassador.

She represented India in Donald Trump's Miss Universe Organisation and made it to top ten in Mexico out of 86 countries and also worked on spreading awareness for Aids with names like Ashley Judd and Bono. She is trained in Martial Arts.[3] Her interests include drawing, traveling, writing, yoga and horse riding.

Farung Yuthithum -Miss Thailand 2007 Top 15

Farung Yuthithum, nicknamed Kwang, born April 6, 1987 in Pathum Thani, Thailand is a student, model, and pageant titleholder who has competed in the Miss Universe pageant.

On March 24, 2007, she competed in the Miss Thailand Universe pageant held in Bangkok where she won and was crowned by reigning Miss Universe 2006 Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico. Moreover, she was the tallest winner in the Thai pageant's history.

Yuthithum represented Thailand in the Miss Universe 2007 pageant held in Mexico City, Mexico, where she had made the top fifteen round. Riyo Mori, Miss Japan was crowned Miss Universe.

Neha Kapur -Miss India 2006 Top 10

Neha Kapur is an Indian beauty pageant contestant who was crowned Pond's Femina Miss India-Universe in 2006.

In addition to winning the main Femina Miss India Universe 2006 crown, Kapur also won the Femina Miss Fresh Face and Femina Miss Photogenic awards in the pageant.[1]

Kapur represented India at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant held on July 23 in Los Angeles, California, United States.[2] She made the semis to the top 20 and competed in the swimsuit competition. She had a red gown during the evening gown portion in the presentation show.

Charm Osathanond is an actress, model and host who won the Miss Thailand Universe pageant in 2006.

On March 25, 2006, Charm Osathanond was crowned seventh Miss Thailand Universe in Bangkok by reigning Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova of Canada.

As Miss Thailand Universe, she represented Thailand in the Miss Universe 2006 pageant which was televised live internationally from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on July 23, 2006.

After competing in the preliminary competitions, Osathanond made the top twenty during the pageant final becoming the first semi-finalist from Thailand since Porntip Nakhirunkanok won the title in 1988. The pageant was won by Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico.

Elena Ralph -Miss Israel 2005 Top 10

Elena Ralph (born 1984, in Donetsk, Ukraine) is a beauty queen who has represented Israel in the Miss Universe pageant.

Ralph won the Miss Israel 2005 title and went on to represent Israel in the Miss Universe 2005 beauty pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand. She made the top ten in the internationally televised pageant, which was Israel's first placement since 2001. (The pageant was won by Natalie Glebova of Canada.)

Neha Dhupia is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. She is a former beauty queen and winner of Femina Miss India 2002.
